🏥 Health Department – Shelu
To provide health services to the people of Shelu village, a Primary Health Center (PHC) has been established.
- In the village of Shelu To provide health services Primary Health Sub Center provides, affordable and quality health services to the rural population . It focuses on preventive services , diagnosis and treatment , health education , family planning and maternal and child health. In India , to provide these services , The National Rural Health Mission ( NRHM ) has been launched.
Main objectives:
- To provide accessible and affordable health services to all citizens in rural areas , especially the poor and vulnerable groups .
- Expanding preventive and curative health services.
- Reducing maternal and child mortality rates.
- Addressing the shortage of health workers in rural areas and training them.
- To promote public health facilities such as sanitation , family planning and vaccination.
Type of services:
- Primary Health Center ( PHC) : It is an important center in rural health care , which provides primary level treatment and health services to the people.
- Village Health Nutrition Days ( VHND) : During these days, health workers interact with villagers and provide them with basic health services and information.
- Health Education : People are guided about health , hygiene, and how to access proper health facilities.
Implementation in India:
